You have a long to-do list, several reminders and good intentions, but getting started still feels difficult. Perhaps you keep trying different systems, only to find they become another thing to manage.

If this sounds familiar, you may be wondering what ADHD coaching is and whether it could be useful for you.

So wADHD coaching is a collaborative, non-clinical form of support that helps you explore everyday challenges, agree personal goals and develop practical strategies. Sessions give you space to understand what gets in your way and try approaches that fit your circumstances.

What can ADHD coaching for adults focus on?

You choose what matters most to you. This might include:

  • Feeling less overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities.

  • Organising tasks and deciding what to prioritise.

  • Getting started on something you have been putting off.

  • Developing routines that are easier to maintain.

  • Managing work deadlines or household administration.

  • Understanding your strengths and support needs.

What happens in an ADHD coaching session?

In our first session, we talk about the challenges you are experiencing and what you would like to gain from coaching. You do not need to arrive with a perfectly organised explanation or a list of clear goals. We can work through that together.

Once we understand what you would like to achieve, we explore possible strategies and agree manageable steps to try. At the beginning of each subsequent session, we review your progress: what helped, what was difficult and what needs adjusting.

My sessions last 60 minutes. You can find more information about the available options on my ADHD coaching packages page.

What might this look like in practice?

Imagine having several to-do lists and creating a new one whenever you feel overwhelmed. Eventually, it becomes difficult to know which list to use or where to begin.

In coaching, we might bring those lists together and explore:

  1. Which tasks are still necessary.

  2. Which could be shared or delegated.

  3. Which have deadlines or need attention soon.

  4. Which can wait.

The first step may simply be creating a clearer picture of your responsibilities. From there, we can agree what deserves your attention next. This is an illustration of how coaching might work, rather than a promise of a particular result. Your sessions will reflect your own needs.

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis?

You do not need a formal ADHD diagnosis to access my coaching. You are welcome to enquire if you are waiting for an assessment or exploring difficulties you think may be related to ADHD.

Coaching does not establish whether you have ADHD. Clinical assessment and diagnosis are separate services.

How many coaching sessions will I need?

This varies from person to person. It depends on your goals, circumstances and the support you are looking for. We can discuss the options together and review your needs as sessions progress.
